Dear Brentwood Science Magnet Parents, Students, and Community,
Welcome back to Brentwood Science Magnet for a positive and exciting 2012-2013 school year. With our school year beginning early, I hope that this summer was filled with quality time spent with loved ones and opportunities to learn and explore.
I am extremely honored to be able to serve such a diverse school community that brings with it an amazing strength. This strength is in each and every one of you. It is in the opportunities we have to increase our cultural awareness of one another and learn from our differences. It is also found in collaboration and teamwork that are essential ingredients to another successful year of student achievement and sustainability. I am looking forward to the outstanding experiences we will have this school year.
Please continue to be an active participant at the home of the Tigers by volunteering and supporting school activities, events, and projects. Your presence and support on our campus will be received with gratitude and appreciation. Together Everyone Achieves More because working together will enable us to provide rich and meaningful experiences for our students that they will value for a lifetime.
As we prepare to enter into the 2012-2013 school year, please calendar these important upcoming dates:
• Student enrollment will begin on Tuesday July 24, 2012. The office will be open between the hours of 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM.
• Our New Student Picnic will occur on Friday August 10, 2012. Festivities will begin at 11:00 a.m. and conclude at 2 p.m.
•The first day of school for students is Tuesday August 14, 2012.
•Pupil free day for employees is Monday August 13, 2012.
