Most working parents need after-school care for their children. We have an excellent after-care program aligned with the mission of BSME:
In partnership with STAR education, a non-profit organization serving major schools in the Los Angeles, free after-school care is offered till 6 pm on all school days. STAR provides excellent enrichment opportunities in arts, music, theater to literacy, games, eco-system and more. The "Best Of L.A." issue of L.A. Parent magazine voted STAR Education as the Best After School Program, Best Tutoring Program, Best Early Childhood Program, Best Camps, and Best Sports Programs.
Starting from second grade, students can also participate in a free Youth Services after-school program.
In addition, BSME offers many other enrichment programs, most of them are free or can be enrolled at a reasonable price. Some of the programs include
Paid Enrichment classes: rock band, drama, chess, art, and much more
BSME/YMCA offers a week long Splash swimming program to 4th graders
